This door came in with layers of white paint
on one side and layers of dark green paint on
the other side. The glass panes had been
replaced over the years with a variety of
textured glass and plexiglass. We stripped
the paint, replaced the glass, and varnished
both sides back to natural wood.
This window had been worked on fairly
recently. The white glazing is new, but had
never been painted to match the rest of the
window.
Using the Silent Paint Remover, we removed
the glazing putty and paint and carefully
removed the glass.
The window was restored, now it awaits the
exterior painters to make the trim look good.
Almost Done Glazing!
BEFORE
This exterior door suffered from crumbling
glazing and what looked like mold. Many of
the panes were broken. We removed all of
the glazing, took out all the glass, and
stripped it down to bare wood. The lock set
on this door wasn't working properly, so the
owner ordered a new set and we completely
filled in the old holes so the new one could
be drilled correctly.
