Some of our projects
Round Windows
We received a pair of round
windows literally in pieces,
taped together.
After about 30 hours of labor,
the completed windows were
back to their former glory and
ready for installation. Click

to see the process.
About Our Business
Window Woman of New England specializes in the repair and
restoration of wooden windows. Our services not only maintain the
look of your home, but also significantly improve the functionality
and weather resistance of the window openings. It's rare that we
find a window beyond repair!
Since opening in 2003, Window Woman has successfully
restored close to 1000 windows of all configurations from plain to
fancy (see our gallery page) and even some doors.
Our team takes a traditional approach using time honored
techniques and products. We also take advantage of the latest
environmentally friendly technologies for removing lead paint like
the Silent Paint Remover and the Steam Stripper. Our goal is to
preserve as much of the original fabric of the windows and doors.
Window Woman is owned by Alison Hardy and is based in
Topsfield, MA. The majority of our clients are located from Salem
to Newburyport, MA. We gladly do consultations for other locations
and can accept windows that are delivered to us for restoration in
our workshop.
We are members of the New England Window Restoration
Alliance, Preservation Trades Network, Historic Salem, Inc. and
the Topsfield Chamber of Commerce.
